Delete your account

Last updated: 2026-10-13

This page is for closing a bandcue account — the address you signed in with, and the bands attached to it. It is reachable without installing anything, because Google Play requires that and because somebody who has already uninstalled the app should still be able to ask.

Most of bandcue needs no account at all. If you have never signed in, there is nothing here to delete: your songs are files on your phone and in the folder you chose, and this service has never seen them.

The fastest way: in the app

Band tab → your account → Close this account.

It asks once to confirm, and then it is done. The app is signed in already, so nothing has to be proved a second time.

Without the app

Write to apps@gpm.name from the address you signed in with, and say you want the account closed.

The address is the check. Deletion is irreversible and takes bands with it, so a request that cannot be tied to the address it names will get a reply asking you to send it from that address rather than being carried out. If you no longer have access to it, say so and we will work out what else can prove it.

Expect it to be done within 30 days, and normally within a few days.

What is deleted

What is kept, and why

Bug reports and feature requests stay, with your address removed from them. A bug is a bug once it has been reported, and a crash somebody else is still hitting should not disappear because the person who found it left. What remains cannot be traced back to you: the row loses the link to the identity rather than being deleted with it.

Payment records stay for as long as the law requires. A subscription bought through Google Play is Google’s record as much as ours, and an invoice is not ours to erase. Cancelling a subscription is separate and happens in Google Play; closing the account here does not cancel it, and cancelling it does not close the account.

What is not ours to delete

The songs on your phone. They are your files. They stay where they are, and the app exports them as a zip whenever you like — before you close the account is a good moment.

The folder you sync through. If you kept your library in a folder of your own, it belongs to you and to whichever service holds it. Closing this account does not reach into it.

Everything else about what this service holds is in the Privacy Policy.
